Mission Statement

At Exploration Empowers, we offer the opportunity for students with disabilities to take day trips or a 1-night, 2-day trip at no cost, with the option of bringing along a travel partner who will receive a stipend to help with additional costs.

We are dedicated to engaging students with disabilities in the full planning of their individual trips, giving them the autonomy to choose activities, attractions, dining, and accommodations.

Our mission is to cultivate essential skills such as planning, problem-solving, budgeting, and time management.

We aspire to enable these students to experience their dream trips at no cost through our nonprofit, fostering independence and enriching their lives through regional travel

Program Details and Guidelines

The Exploration Empowers program offers students the opportunity to embark on a personal day trip OR 1-night, 2-day trip, with funding provided for the student and in the case of a travel partner, a stipend will be included.

All trips are designed with safety and success in mind while students fill out their Exploration Empowers Workbook, as well as collaborating with the Exploration Empowers team to ensure a positive experience.
